CDTSs Courses for the year 2010-2011

 

The C.D.T.S., Hyderabad was set up in September, 1964 on the pattern of the premier institute in Calcutta established in November, 1958.  To cater the needs of Hindi speaking and northern States, the CDTS Chandigarh was established in 1974. The objective in setting up this Institute was to improve the standard of crime investigation in the country by familiarising in-service police investigating officers, of the rank of Asst. Sub-Inspector to Dy. Superintendent of Police with developments in Forensic Science.

 

Each institution is headed by a Principal of the rank of Superintendent of Police. The Principal is assisted by one Vice-Principal (Addl. Supdt. of Police), 7 Dy. Supdt. of Police (Instructors) and 2 Inspectors (Admn.).  The Principal is the declared Head of Office.
